WAYS TO GIVE – Specialized Gifts

Scholarships

Perhaps one of the most direct and satisfying ways of realizing the value of your gift is to consider the triumphant faces of our scholarship recipients as they receive their degrees at their commencement ceremony. Scholarships comprise an important financial aid tool for many of the University’s future graduates. Your continued contributions will benefit these students for generations to come.

There are two types of scholarship gifts:
Annual scholarships are given on a yearly basis. Many donors of annual scholarships renew their commitment each year, and many establish scholarships with the intention of sustaining it over several years or indefinitely.

Endowed scholarships assure that designated scholarship money will remain available indefinitely. The initial gift, forming the corpus of the endowment, must be at least $25,000. Endowed scholarships can be funded over a period of up to three years. Contact the Development Office to create a giving schedule that works for you. Income generated annually from the endowment is used both to fund the scholarship and increase the initial corpus.

If you have preferences regarding the criteria by which students are selected for the scholarship, please feel free to contact the Development Office for assistance.
