As a Prairie View University student, I never imagined my life would revolve around multiple rewarding careers as an officer in the Army Ranger Corps; Director of three major FBI Divisions: New York, San Antonio, and Houston; now a Houston television commentator and an investigative strategist for a prominent law firm.
I credit PrairieViewA&MUniversity with laying the strong foundation for me despite the school’s scarce resources in the 1960’s. I was a student motivated by a dedicated family and professors who believed that the best path to success was a first-rate education. With nurturing help, I embraced all the opportunities presented to me in the university setting.
Today, PrairieViewA&MUniversity’s capital campaign is a critical step in the future of the University. No public university can survive by relying on the state as its sole source of funding. That’s why we are reaching out to individuals and corporations who believe PrairieViewA&MUniversity must continue to provide exceptional opportunities for young men and women to achieve prominent positions in engineering, the military, nursing, agriculture, education, and other careers.
Your contributions will ensure our ability to attract accomplished students, professors, and researchers. Your support will provide needed financial aid to students who deserve and might not otherwise be able to afford a college education. Some of the brightest minds in the world today come from some of the smallest institutions. PrairieViewA&MUniversity is such a place. I believe your assistance will help the leaders of tomorrow realize their dreams today.
